Work together to choose a provocation and a deep dive
You might consider…
- That it’s okay to have an imperfect provocation and deep dive
- That’s it’s okay to trust the community to develop an imperfect provocation and deep dive according to each individual’s imagination
- How does this relate to topics and issues around inclusivity?
Write a blog post that details how you came to the provocation
You might consider…
- Describing what you and your partner were thinking about as you designed the provocation, including the question/s you wrestled with and how you resolved (if you did) those questions
- Sharing unresolved questions
- Describing how your provocation relates to inclusive design/inclusivity
- Including hyperlinks and other multimedia that informed your provocation and explaining how the work shaped your provocation
- Sharing notes or other artifacts from brainstorming session/s
Spread the word about that month’s provocation
You might consider…
- Sharing a link to the provocation via your social media networks using the hashtag #InclusiveDesignUnGuide
- Sharing a link to the provocation with colleagues and collaborators
- Asking people to engage with the provocation in a class/presentation/professional learning experience
Curate and amplify responses to the provocation
You might consider…
- “[R]ecognizing others and their contributions in public ways” (West-Puckett, Smith, Cantrill, & Zamora, 2018) while also respecting a person’s right to privacy
- Retweet responses posted to with #InclusiveDesignUnGuide
- Write a blog post showcasing responses that came in through various channels (#InclusiveDesignUnGuide, individual blogs, posted to unguide website/TruCollector)
Facilitate a deep dive
You might consider…
- hosting a synchronous video-conference session
- hosting a Twitter chat (or even a Twitter slow chat, over the course of the month)
- synthesizing public responses to the provocation, sharing on a blog post, and opening up the comments for further discussion
Consider the licensing
- Please choose a CC license for your provocation and your blog post. Find out more about CC licensing and choosing a license.
